Preemie size has 2 layers on the side and 4 layers in the middle, these work great for newborns, and also later for doublers or diaper liners.

Please note that after washing your prefolds the first few times they will turn into this fluffy, soft absorent diaper. They will no longer be flat and thin, they will look more like this picture below.

These diapers work wonderfully with Polar Babies Diaper Cover , Tinny Hinnies Wool Diaper Covers and Bummis Diaper Covers, just fold in thirds, place in cover and velcro on baby. If you prefer the pin system, use Happy Pants or Wool Soakers to cover these.

The Newborn (not shown) prior to washing measures 10"x13" fits up to 9lbs.
The Infant (green stitching) prior to washing measures 12"x16" fits up to 20lbs
The Standard (blue stitching) prioir to washing measures 14"x22" fits up to 20-35lbs
